Before the coronavirus enforced interlude, there was every suggestion that the 2019/20 season would bring about the fairytale ending every Leeds fan has been dreaming of since, they started reading and watching the story unfold.

The confirmation of the final nine fixtures is a step closer to football’s return and Leeds United’s attempt to reach the Premier League.

Throughout the three-month break, the YEP has brought you the latest developments, memories of the glory days, the personal tales of rank and file Whites and kept tabs on the club’s current heroes with regular interviews.

But the story we most want to tell, the one we told over the first 37 games, is about to resume.

Leeds are the biggest show in town, the biggest draw in this city and beyond and their potential ascent to the top flight is a footballing blockbuster.
