The tournament is seen as a barrier to completing domestic leagues and club competitions and potentially extending the 2019/20 season.

UEFA has today held a video conference with their 55 major stakeholders and the Norwegian FA have claimed Euro 2020 will now be held on June 11 2021.

European football's governing body is yet to confirm the decision.

Leagues across Europe have been halted due to the outbreak. Leeds United's participation in the Championship was put on hold last Friday morning, when the EFL and Premier League announced a three week suspension.

Leeds United's Stuart Dallas was due to play in Northern Ireland's Euro 2020 play-off semi-final in Bosnia later this month, with Gjanni Alioski and North Macedonia taking on Kosovo and Scotland, potentially selecting Liam Cooper, facing Israel. Mateusz Klich [Poland] and Tyler Roberts [Wales] could also have participated in the tournament, which was due to be held in 12 European cities.
