Leeds United stars set to face each other during 2022 World Cup qualification process

Elland Road team-mates will become opponents on the international stage

Leeds United's international stars are set to face familiar faces during the qualification stages of the 2022 World Cup.

The quadrennial competition is set to take place in Qatar in two years' time with Whites' players beginning the road to the tournament with their respective nations next year.

Kalvin Phillips' England have been drawn against Mateusz Klich's Poland while fellow team-mates Robin Koch and Gjanni Alioski will also come to blows with Germany and North Macedonia.

United's midfield duo will also take on Hungary, Albania, Andorra and San Marino during the qualification process in Group I.

Koch and Alioski meanwhile see Romania, Iceland, Armenia and Liechtenstein complete Group J.

Elsewhere, Leeds captain Liam Cooper has been drawn alongside Denmark, Austria, Israel, the Faroe Islands and Moldova in Group F with Scotland.

Tyler Roberts will face Belgium, Czech Republic, Belarus and Estonia with Wales in Group E.

Northern Ireland have been handed a spot in Group C with Stuart Dallas taking on Italy, Switzerland, Bulgaria and Lithuania for a spot at the finals.

Spain duo Rodrigo and Diego Llorente will challenge Sweden, Greece, Georgia and Kosovo in Group B.
