Leeds United star among top 10 most popular in Premier League for FPL players

The winger, priced at £6.5m, is currently in the teams of 28.4 per cent of FPL players and is the only Whites squad member to tempt over a fifth of players.

Raphinha fired in six goals in his debut Premier League season and added nine assists, instantly establishing himself as a fan favourite with his pace and skill on the wing. Leeds snapped him up in a summer transfer deadline signing for just £17m, making him a contender for the top flight bargain of the season. In FPL terms he was worth 133 points, ranking fourth for Leeds United players.

Stuart Dallas [£5.5m] is the next most popular Leeds man, despite his position change from defence to midfield in the game, taking up a place in 17.9 per cent of FPL teams. The Ulsterman scored 171 FPL points last season thanks chiefly to his eight goals and two assists, having moved from full-back to the centre of Marcelo Bielsa's midfield but remained a defender in the fantasy game.

Sixteen per cent of players have gone for Patrick Bamford [£8m] up front, the only Whites player to outscore Dallas in FPL last season, and just over a tenth have selected Leeds right-back Luke Ayling [£4.5m].

Goalkeeper Illan Meslier is in 5.9 per cent of teams and attacker Rodrigo has been chosen by two per cent, with Kalvin Phillips similarly popular to the Spanish international.

There are only nine players currently more popular than Raphinha. Liverpool's Mo Salah, the choice of 52 per cent of players thanks in part to his classification as a midfielder, tops the chart
