Coyle, 22, spent the whole of last season on loan on the Fylde Coast, where he made 48 appearances and was top of manager Joey Barton’s list of transfer targets for the new season.

The Hull-born player earned the supporters’ player and players’ player of the season accolades at the Highbury Stadium last term.

Coyle’s departure follows the earlier exits of goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald and midfielder Madger Gomes, with several other squad players expected to leave Elland Road in the coming weeks as head coach Marcelo Bielsa trims down his squad numbers ahead of the start of the new season in early August.
