Lewis Cook will play for Leeds United’s Under-21s tonight ahead of his comeback from a three-match suspension this weekend.

Cook completed his suspension as Leeds fought out a 1-1 draw with Sheffield Wednesday and he will sharpen his fitness this evening in preparation for Saturday’s trip to Derby County.

The 18-year-old midfielder was forced to miss Championship games against Reading, Bristol City and Wednesday after receiving the first red card of his career in a League Cup tie at Doncaster Rovers on August 13.

He was dismissed for a two-footed tackle on Doncaster defender Aaron Taylor-Sinclair during the first half of Leeds’ first-round defeat at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Luke Murphy, Lee Erwin and Casper Sloth will also play for the development squad against Sheffield United tonight (KO 7pm).

Josh Warrington and his team celebrate after the fight last night.
