Leeds United executive director Adam Pearson has tonight quit the Elland Road club.

In a dramatic development, Pearson confirmed to the YEP that he had parted company with United ahead of their 1-0 defeat to Ipswich Town.

Pearson - credited with providing much of the stability seen at Leeds since he came to work with owner Massimo Cellino in May - said he was “taking a break” but insisted that he and Cellino had gone their separate ways “on good terms”.
