Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has secured another deal for his broadcast network Eleven Sports - by buying the UK and Irish rights to golf's PGA Championship.

Radrizzani, who made his wealth in TV rights prior to taking over Leeds last year, has taken up a series of contracts in recent months including packages for La Liga, Serie A and Eredivisie fixtures in a direct challenge to established broadcasters Sky and BT Sport.

The news comes as Leeds United are handed two more dates on Sky Sports after their September fixtures against Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough were moved for live broadcasts.

Boro’s Championship visit to Elland Road on September 1 has been brought forward to Friday, August 31 (kick-off 7.45pm), increasing United’s number of Sky appearances in the first month of the season to four.
