Luke Murphy will continue his comeback from injury with an appearance in tonight’s Under-21 match between Leeds United and Ipswich Town.
The midfielder will look to put himself in contention for first-team games against Doncaster Rovers and Reading later with week by coming though an outing at Elland Road this evening.
Murphy is back in full training after recovering from the knee operation he underwent last month but he was not involved in Saturday’s Championship opener against Burnley.
Head coach Uwe Rosler intends to field him tonight instead as part of a line-up which will also feature striker Lee Erwin and midfielders Kalvin Phillips and Casper Sloth.
The clash with Ipswich, which kicks off at 7pm, is the first game of the Under-21s’ professional development league season.
