Hide AdCoaches from the Leeds United foundation made the contribution on Good Friday morning for the most vulnerable residents who are suffering with dementia, many of which have been unable to see family members due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The care homes are currently reliant solely on the staff and volunteers who are working on the frontline to support them, with the club aiming to help bring a smile to faces for residents and workers alike with the contribution.
The club's official charity have experience in working with those who suffer from early onset dementia through the Corner Cafe programme, which is held at Elland Road on a monthly basis.
Despite not being able to provide support in person due to the pandemic, many of the coaches are keeping in touch with those who usually attend the programme with the donation the latest move in hope it will help the most vulnerable through a difficult time.
