Lee Erwin has joined League One side Bury on loan for 28 days.
Erwin has not played a game for Leeds since joining them from Motherwell this summer, despite involvement in head coach Uwe Rosler’s matchday squads.
He has featured regularly for the Under-21 side and scored a brace in the space of a minute against Queens Park Rangers in a 3-3 draw at the end of September.
Erwin joined Leeds after his contract with Motherwell expired, although his former side will receive a compensation fee for developing the 21-year-old.
The striker caught Leeds’ attention after a run of goals in Motherwell’s play-off campaign last season. Overall, last season he scored six goals in 36 appearances for The Steelmen.
Rosler had previously hinted Erwin may leave the club on a temporary basis.
He said: “There’s probably a chance for us to maybe loan out one player maybe for development reasons, not to push someone out to the side.”
Bury are third in League One and host Wigan tomorrow.
