Who is Lewis Baker?

Lewis Baker is a central midfielder from Luton and joined Chelsea's academy ranks as a nine-year-old in 2005. Baker made his senior debut for Chelsea in 2014 in the third round of the FA Cup in a 2-0 win over Derby County and has been capped at England youth levels from under-17s through to under-21s.

The now 23-year-old has spent time out on loan at Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons and Dutch side Vitesse in recent seasons.

Last year Baker spent the 2017-18 Championship season on loan at Middlesbrough but failed to make much of an impact featuring just 12 times scoring once.

Anything else we should know?

Baker boasts a wealth of individual awards having won the NextGen Series Player of the Tournament award in 2012-13 for Chelsea's under-19s.

He took home the Blues Young Player of the Year and Goal of the Year awards in 2013-14 and also grabbed the golden boot at the 2016 Toulon Tournmanent which England duly won.

As a team he helped MK Dons to promotion from League One in 2014-15 as runners-up and won the Dutch Cup with Vitesse in 2017.
