Hadi Sacko has completed a move to Spanish side Las Palmas on a season-long loan.

The Leeds United winger completed a medical after flying into Gran Canaria this morning and will be officially unveiled by Las Palmas this afternoon.

Leeds were ready to listen to permanent offers for Sacko this summer, despite him having two years left on his contract, but have allowed him to depart on a temporary basis to Spain.

The former Sporting Lisbon player made a good enough impact on loan during the 2016-17 season to convince Leeds to take him permanently from Portugal but he started just one league game last term and last featured in a heavy 3-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers in March, a match which saw him substituted at half-time.

Writing on Twitter, Sacko said: “Blue and yellow (Las Palmas’ colours) will remind me of my good time in Leeds but I have to play more now. Thanks for everything.”

Sacko featured 60 times in total for United but is not expected to be offered another chance by the club when his loan expires.

Las Palmas, who lost 1-0 in a friendly at Elland Road on Sunday, have recruited him on the back of relegation from La Liga last season.
