Young Leeds United centre-back Ross Killock is to remain on loan at non-league Chester until the end of the season.
United have extended Killock’s deal with the Skrill Premier League club after seeing his initial spell at Chester hindered by a calf strain.
Killock, 19, moved out of Elland Road at the end of October and played five times before injury forced him to drop out of Chester’s team.
He made his comeback three days after Christmas and has now been given the chance to see out Chester’s season.
The club are fighting to escape from their division’s relegation zone.
Chester have two other Leeds players on their books with twins Nathan and Lewis Turner halfway through season-long loans.
Meanwhile, a number of United’s senior professionals will be used in a friendly fixture at Harrogate Town tonight. (Jan 8)
Noel Hunt, Scott Wootton, Adam Drury, Stephen Warnock, Dominic Poleon and Gboly Ariyibi are also set to start at Wetherby Road (ko 7.30pm).
Leeds United (probable): Cairns, Bryan, Wootton, Drury, Coyle, Thompson, Lenighan, Warnock, Ariyibi, Hunt, Poleon.
