The Whites boss is suing his former club for around £16m following his dismissal as manager in 2017 with Lille sitting near the automatic relegation places.

Bielsa is seeking damages and severance pay after his initial legal proceeding was launched over two-and-a-half-years ago.

The Argentine boss is due to speak at today's hearing, which is centred around whether Lille had the right to relieve Bielsa of his duties for "serious fault" at the time of his sacking.

The complication is said to be caused by two separate contracts signed by Bielsa and Lille regarding his employment at the club.

Bielsa was initially appointed head coach by Lille in May 2017 but was suspended in the following November after just 13 games in charge.

A month later it was announced that he had been sacked and replaced by incoming boss Christophe Galtier.

A final verdict from today's tribunal is not expected for around three months.
