The future of left-back Aidan White is set to be finalised in the next week.
The Leeds-born ace, 20, returned to pre-season training on Wednesday (July 11) with his Whites career up in the air after his contract expired at the end of last month with both clubs unable to agree terms on a new deal.
Ideally, White is understood to want to remain at United, if a suitable contract can be agreed and he is currently assessing his options to see where he stands.
Three Premier League clubs and a number of Championship sides have expressed interest in signing him – along with teams in the SPL and abroad.
As White is under 24, United will be entitled to compensation if he leaves the club.
