Sam Byram, and Charlie Horton have both proved talking points among the Leeds United faithful.

It doesn’t seem logical for Leeds United to sell Sam Byram now.

Even if he could get a replacement like Will Buckley in ASAP you’re still talking about gambles.

Would the replacement settle in? Would he be effective? What is their fitness like? How long to get an understanding of team-mates and tactics?

Then there is the fact that there is a reason why Byram is being chased. In other words, you won’t replace that quality regardless.

Scouts aren’t idiots. Anyone with the talent to replace or better Byram will be in a top-division club or will be chased by a top-division club.

So, fans glibly suggesting we always cash in when there is interest in our players are so naive it’s untrue. Perhaps in ‘Football Manager Game World’ you can replace good with better but in reality it’s virtually impossible, especially when you’re talking about a kid with the potential to play for England.

Byram is loyal. Byram is no gamble. He knows Leeds. He likes it here. And he understands the club and fans.

Byram is young and so his skill and price will increase.

Byram is one of the players we will need to stay in the Premiership if we ever get promoted.

Please ask yourself why QPR got relegated twice from the Prem’.

Too many old journeymen looking to pick up one last fat pay cheque for a club they don’t give a fig about.

Sam Byram is priceless to our club. Lewis Cook is priceless. Alex Mowatt is priceless.

These are the players who will adapt to a higher level.

These are the players who will play for you when it’s pouring down at Accrington in the cup (not foreign mercenaries).

Horton playing the ‘long game’

Good attitude (seen from Leeds United’s American goalkeeper Charlie Horton, who has a long-term goal at Elland Road).

Keep up the hard work, and keep pushing the others in front of you, and you will get there.
