Leeds United fan names Christmas Eve baby after Elland Road stadium in memory of dad

A Leeds United fan has named his newborn Christmas Eve daughter after the club's famous stadium - in honour of his late father.

Liam Miller said he has supported Leeds United since he was born.

Together with his partner Paige Rodgers, Liam chose to name his daughter Nevaeh 'Elland' Miller.

Liam, from Barnsley, told the Yorkshire Evening Post that he was inspired to pick the name after his dad - who was a huge Leeds United fan - passed away when Liam was 17.

He said: "I've supported Leeds since I was born.

"My dad went to watch Leeds when they beat Manchester United in the FA Cup.

"My heart is with Leeds.

"Dad always said to me, the first shirt you wear is the last shirt you wear.
