Leeds United duo help England to third successive Toulon crown

Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira and defender Tom Pearce helped England to a third successive Toulon Tournament title in France on Saturday evening.

The Three Lions defeated Mexico 2-1 in the final of the annual compeition with a quickfire double just before the break having fallen behind only 70 seconds into proceedings.

Vieira capped off a fine summer with a starting spot in the final to round off his three appearances in the tournament, which included a stunning strike against Qatar, while Pearce was an unused substitute for Aidy Boothroyd's men.

The 20-year-old left back, who penned a new deal at Elland Road earlier this week, was called upon twice in the tournament.

The United pair will now head off for a summer break before pre-season begins at Thorp Arch on June 25 having tasted success at international level.
