Ayling put the Whites ahead en route to a 2-0 victory in last month's clash against the Terriers with a thunderous first-time volley that flew into the net off the underside of the bar to cause mayhem in the South Stand behind the goal.

Asked as part of a video feature with Sky Sports how many times he had watched the goal back, Ayling was not afraid to reveal the full extent.

"Every day since it happened," smiled Ayling.

"Probably for the first week I watched it about probably 30 times every day just on repeat.

"It would be about half ten at night and I'd be in bed and the lights would all be off.

"I'd put it on one last time and then I'd get a big elbow from the missus - 'Luke, go to sleep now, turn that bloody thing off.'

"Come on, I will probably never score a goal like that again.

"It's a nice goal and something that I will always have."
