Marcelo Bielsa and Patrick Bamford sent Leeds United fans into meltdown earlier this week as the striker posted a clip of himself and the Whites boss celebrating in training.
The video showed the 25-year-old rifling a volley past goalkeeper Will Huffer, who made his senior debut on Saturday in a 2-0 win over Bristol City, as United took part in some attacking drills. The Argentine raced to meet his £9million summer signing from the halfway line as his team-mates watched on as they embraced with a massive hug.
And now Bielsa has commented on the incident that took social media by storm: "It was a spontaneous reaction when I saw the beautiful goal from a player that is not playing now. That's why I allowed myself to make this excess."
Asked when Bamford may return the 63-year-old remained coy over setting any particular date: "He still needs more time."
