Leeds United: Adryan could return but Sharp and Austin ruled out

Have your say

NEIL REDFEARN says young play-maker Adryan, pictured right, has a chance of returning to action in tonight’s home clash with Charlton Athletic.

The 20-year-old missed Saturday’s game at Cardiff City with a groin strain, but could be back in the fray this evening, with Redfearn contemplating changes to freshen up his side.

Liam Cooper will step in for suspended captain Jason Pearce in the heart of defence, but Billy Sharp, inset, and Rudy Austin are still sidelined.

He said: “Adryan has got a chance. We are monitoring Sharpy as he is going along this week and he is coming along better than what we thought. So I am hoping fingers crossed, it might be Saturday perhaps.

“We have one or two out and we have to deal with it and overcome it.

“It gives an opportunity to someone else to go and make a claim for a spot.”

Charlton could give a debut to midfielder Francis Coquelin after signing the Frenchman on a month-long loan deal from Arsenal.

Fit-again winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson and seven-goal top scorer Igor Vetokele are both tipped to start for the Addicks.
