Poveda went down injured following a collision in the centre circle in the 56th minute of Monday's Premier League Two Division Two clash against Sunderland at Thorp Arch.

Leeds had used all three substitutes and Poveda was unable to continue.

After receiving treatment on the pitch, the 20-year-old winger was helped by two members of staff to hobble off the pitch.

Boss Mark Jackson then revealed afterwards that Poveda was being assessed, saying: "We hope he is okay but we were never going to take any risk with him once he had that knock or anything like that."

And Poveda has now posted an update via an Instagram story which showed a photograph of the winger laid down on a sofa resting his left foot accompanied by the words "all good no worries" with crutches and a protective boot in the background.

Whites head coach Marcelo Bielsa will likely be asked for an update on Poveda after Wednesday night's Premier League clash against Everton at Elland Road.

Leeds are already without defenders Diego Llorente (muscular injury), Robin Koch (knee surgery) and Gaetano Berardi (ACL tear) plus long term absentee Adam Forshaw (hip).

Llorente is facing around three weeks out whilst Koch was aiming to return by the Spring. Bielsa also said after last week's 2-1 win at Newcastle United that Berardi would soon be back training with the group and that he was confident Forshaw would be able to compete quickly once his injury issues were resolved.

Wingers Rodrigo and Raphinha then came off injured in Sunday's 3-1 win at Leicester City whilst striker Patrick Bamford was also limping after the full-time whistle but told Sky Sports he only had a dead leg.

Asked about the injuries situation at his pre-Everton press conference on Monday, Bielsa said: "Rodrigo’s having a scan at the moment to evaluate his condition.

"He had an action where both his feet were very wide apart.

"Potentially that excessive stretch could have caused a muscular injury.

"The other two cases are less worrying.

"To days prior to a game you can’t be sure that any player is going to be available for a game.

"The only thing to add is that the problem Rodrigo has to overcome to be available on Wednesday is bigger.

"The problems that Raphinha and Bamford have to overcome are more simple."

Poveda then picked up his injury on Monday afternoon.

Rodrigo then took to his Instagram account to say of his setback: "Great result yesterday against a very tough team. A minor setback personally but already working to be back soon! One day less to come back."
