More from Parker
“At 4-1 the floodgates could have opened and they probably would have done 18 months ago.”
“I’m frustrated, you can’t expect to score four or five goals to get something out of the game. We gave away easy goals and gave ourselves a mountain to climb really."
How much more needed in transfer window?
There is no concrete options at the moment, there is a lot of interest but nothing concrete and I would rather talk about signings when they are made.
What does first Premier win in 16 years mean to the city?
I hope that we can win a lot of games this season
On getting the first win, a relief?
Winning is always important. And after you win a game there is no need to explain it’s important, all wins are important
More pleased with today or Liverpool display?
The game against Liverpool we played the champions, we were close to getting a draw but there were moments where we played them as equals. And in this game what I liked a lot was the way we managed the game when we were only one goal ahead.
On conceding seven in two games - worried?
We are worried. We have been working to prevent conceding these types of goals. But as the competition goes on I think we will be able to improve our defensive work, we will be able to identify why these errors happen.
On Casilla - is he injured?
He got injured in the game against Hull, he played a pass to Alioski, Alioski gave it back to him and when he went to clear the ball an opposition player came from behind and tried to stop him and Kiko didn’t see him and when we went to kick the ball he picked up a knock in his ankle.
