Leeds miss out? - the football world reacts to mass Coronavirus restrictions as Leeds United await EFL decision

THE EFL Board are meeting on Friday morning to make a decision on this weekend’s fixtures and beyond due to more cases of Coronavirus.

It was announced on Friday that the Arsenal and Chelsea first-team squads were in self-isolation after positive coronavirus tests for Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Everton and Bournemouth then also announced their squad was in self-isolation on Friday morning while all of next week's Champions League and Europa League games have already been postponed.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony: "My manager and I agree by the way does not want to travel to Bolton tomorrow.

"One of our players is now in self isolation awaiting results.

"We just played Pompey who just played Arsenal. Will be reaching out to to the EFL today regards this if they are going to make us play tomorrow."

Former Liverpool defender and Sky pundit Jamie Carragher: "It's inevitable the Premier League and EFL will be suspended today.

"You can’t start next season until this one finishes when ever that is. No title winners? Who goes in the Champions League next season?

"Leeds, West Brom and plus one miss out on Premier League. Three clubs in the Premier stay up."
