Torino emerge as Leeds United's competition for Manchester City winger Ian Poveda
Reports in Italy suggest Leeds United have strong competition for the signature of Manchester City winger Ian Poveda, with Torino touted as another interested party.
Italian newspaper Tuttosport report that Poveda and his representatives were expected in Turin today for talks with the Serie A club, who currently sit seventh. The 19-year-old attacker, capped by England at Under 20 level, is out of contract in the summer and Torino, like Leeds United, hope to take him on a free transfer.
Whites director of football Victor Orta is still in talks with City over a deal for Poveda.
Leeds have made Southampton striker Che Adams their number one target in this transfer window and remain hopeful of striking a deal with the Saints, despite boss Ralph Hasenhüttl insisting they won't let the forward out on loan.
United also want to sign a winger and are close to securing Italian teenage goalkeeper Elia Caprile, who was spotted in the West Stand at Elland Road during Saturday's game against Sheffield Wednesday.
