Reading forward Yakou Meite says it had always been the Royals plan to disrupt Leeds United following their "disappointing" late 1-0 defeat at the Madejski stadium.

Marcelo Bielsa's side made it seven games unbeaten and four wins on the bounce in Berkshire as Jack Harrison struck three minutes from time to secure all three points.

United failed to reach their free-flowing best but snatched the spoils late on for a second successive Championship outing in just four days.

Mark Bowen saw his team nullify the Whites threat for much of the evening, but were undone by a slick counter attacking move from Bielsa's outfit with injury-time looming.

Meite - who forced Kiko Casilla into a couple of strong saves on the night - says it was the near-perfect evening for his sides game plan as they saw a point slip through their fingers in agonising fashion.

"I think we started the game well," said Meite.

"We had a plan to try and disrupt them and I think we did it well for the first half, but they scored at the end so we're very disappointed about this game.

"But, we're playing at the weekend so we need to switch quickly and be focussed for the next game.

"It was disappointing because all the team worked hard, but we didn't get the result at the end so, of course, it's very difficult to see it end like this.

"The game was tight, the score was only 1-0 but it's finished and we lost, so it doesn't matter if we matched them or not because, at the end, we didn't get the result.

"As we know, we've got a lot of games coming up soon so we need to be focussed and switch quickly.

"We're very disappointed, but we don't have time to think about this any more, so we want to win the next game and move on quickly."
