Intriguing Dwight Gayle update has fans of Leeds United's promotion rivals VERY excited
Leeds United and a number of their promotion rivals have been linked with a move for out-of-favour Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle.
As well as Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion have also been linked with a loan switch for Gayle for the second half of the season.
Gayle has featured infrequently for Newcastle United in the Premier League so far this season, with the St James' Park club reportedly valuing him at around £15m.
Due to his fringe status in the squad many were expecting to see Gayle feature in Newcastle's FA Cup clash with Rochdale, yet the striker wasn't even included in the squad.
That has got a number of Championship fans very excited, with many hoping it is a sign that he will turn up at their club soon.
