Bridges, who had three spells for Carlisle as a player, has been backed into odds of 1-4 with SkyBet to take on his first managerial role with the Cumbrians who sacked Steven Pressley last week with the club 19th in League Two.

Former Whites striker Bridges currently lives in Australia where he finished his career before taking his coaching badges.
