Kitching became a regular for Carlos Corberan's under-23s Leeds side during the first half of last season with the teen then loaned to Harrogate Town in January.

The 18-year-old went on to excel with the National League North outfit - playing ten games and netting three goals as his efforts helped Simon Weaver's men seal promotion to the National League.

The defender's displays have now earned him a new contract at Elland Road with Kitching penning new terms at Leeds until the summer of 2021.

The centre-back will now head back out on loan to the CNG Stadium until January 2, 2019.

"We're really please to bring Liam back," said Town boss Simon Weaver.

"He played such a big role for us from the Leamington game onwards last year, he's a really promising young player and we are pleased to have him on board again.

"He's got great strength of character, loves to get on the ball and is a proper defender as well so he's a really good mix and has a great future in the game."
