Thursday evening's 1-0 victory at home to Barnsley has left Championship front-runners Leeds needing just one more point from their final two games to seal automatic promotion but United could be promoted even before their penultimate test of Sunday's 2pm kick-off at Derby County.

United would be guaranteed a top-two finish should either second-placed West Brom or third-placed Brentford drop points in any of their last two games and Beckford can see Slaven Bilic's Baggies slipping up at relegation-battling Huddersfield in tonight's 5.30pm kick-off.

"I think anybody can get something against anybody," Beckford told the YEP.

"Huddersfield are still in a troublesome position and I think they need another point or another couple of points to cement their Championship status and they know this as well.

"Having been in the Premier League last season, they are going to want to make sure that they don't have back to back relegation.

"That would leave the club with massive financial implications so they will be well up for it.

"The manager will have been getting all the players up for it the whole week, looking at the way West Brom attack, where their holes are in defence , what they can exploit and they have got nothing to lose.

"If they get a point I think they will be very happy and so would we."
