Leeds are approaching Saturday's 3pm kick-off in Lancashire still top of the Championship but with their lead at the top of the table and cushion in the division's automatic promotion spots trimmed after Tuesday night's 1-1 draw at home to Luton Town.

A 3-0 romp at Reading allowed third-placed Brentford to close the gap between the Bees and Whites to six points and second-placed West Brom then also recorded a 3-0 victory at Sheffield Wednesday the following evening to move one point behind Leeds.

Shackleton, though, says United's sole focus is now on Saturday's contest at tenth-placed Rovers with the Whites youngster saying Leeds are mindful of Tony Mowbray's side's threat from set pieces.

United were undone by two goals from set pieces in last season's 2-1 loss at Ewood Park in October 2018.

"We know that they are one of the best and highest scoring teams in the league from set piece situations and we are aware of that so it's something that we will have to stick the focus on tomorrow and get right," Shackleton said.

"The lads have been working hard and the mood is good.

"Obviously we'd have preferred three points on Tuesday night but we move on to the next game and all the focus is on getting the three points at Blackburn.

"After that we move on to the next game but all the focus is on tomorrow now."
