Jack Harrison believes improving the mental side of his game has led to his impressive Premier League form this season.

The 24-year-old winger is enjoying his third campaign on loan at Elland Road from top flight rivals Manchester City.

Harrison has impressed in his debut campaign in England's first division this term, scoring six goals and bagging four assists in 22 league appearances for the newly-promoted Whites.

The wide man has already equalled his goal tally from last season's Championship title-winning triumph with 15 games remaining.

Leeds have impressed onlookers for their approach under head coach Marcelo Bielsa, having taken 32 points to sit 11th in the overall standings.

Harrison - who has featured in all but one fixture due to loan regulations - has admitted that his off-field work is paying dividends under the Argentine in West Yorkshire.

"I think I have been fortunate at times," Harrison said over his good form.

"I've been trying to get the mental side of things right off the pitch - be more committed to making decisions and more committed to taking shots where I can.

"I think ultimately all the work that I have done last summer and what I have worked on this season has been really helpful.

"I'm just hoping to keep it going this season."

Harrison was recently awarded a halfway goal of season award among the senior squad at Thorp Arch for his stunning strike against Newcastle United in LS11 last December.

The winger, though, is still fearful he may lose the final gong come the end of the season.

"I think as of right now it possibly is," Harrison said of scoring United's best goal in the top flight.

"You never know with Patrick [Bamford] though because he can always come out with some worldies every now and then. I wouldn't be surprised if he has one before the end of the season."
