Patrick Bamford has lifted the lid on Leeds United teammate Gjanni Alioski and his renowned Elland Road antics.

The 28-year-old North Macedonian has become somewhat of a fan favourite in LS11 due to his fun-loving personality.

Alioski can often be spotted shaking tunnels, causing mischief, making odd sounds and winding the opposition up on match days or in training at Thorp Arch.

The winger turned full-back is usually a source of pre-game entertainment on the club's social media channels and has built up a rapport with the Leeds fan base during his four years in West Yorkshire.

Bamford - who was speaking on Leeds United's official podcast - was quizzed over just how much of a whirlwind Alioski was to be around on a daily basis.

United's number nine has admitted that it is very much a case of what you see is what you get with his Whites teammate.

"He is absolutely nuts," Bamford laughed.

"He's like this all the time. He's like a kid that's had sugar and is having a mad half hour. When we got promoted and went on holiday to Ibiza together, it was the first time we saw him with his Mrs properly and we thought 'maybe he'll be a little more calm'.

"He was exactly the same, an absolute nutcase. He's the same with everyone, even if any of the lads bring their kids into training and they're waiting around, he'll make such a fuss over them.

"He'll pretend to bite them and all sorts but they love it."

Asked if he was glad he was on his side and not the opposition, Bamford added: "He's one of those guys that when he's on your team you're so happy he is, even though sometimes you look at him and think 'what on earth are you doing?'

"If he was on the opposition team you would hate it. He just winds people up, he's always talking and if he wasn't your teammate he would just do your head in.

"He's brilliant though. He's fantastic. He brings energy and ups the atmosphere. He's great for the team. You just sometimes scratch your head wondering what was going through his head."
