United, meanwhile, have won just once in their last five outings and were beaten by Leicester City and Crystal Palace by the same 4-1 scoreline two weeks ago.

Alioski - who is fresh from making history with North Macedonia by qualifying for next summer's Euro 2020 tournament - says that the Whites squad are ready to show a reaction at Elland Road.

"We work every day hard to get a result," Alioski said ahead of kick-off.

"We work every day to improve, each player works for that. I think every player is ready for a big game.

"It's not the only one. We'll have other ones but after losing two we need a reaction. I think it will come because the team is ready. How we play, the style, how focused and the concentration that we have is the same.

"We can surprise every team. We are strong and ready to do this. Even against Arsenal, who we know are are a big team.

"We don't forget that we play good football. We are ready physically and we need to show this on the pitch with more concentration and focus."

Asked about the recent run of results, he said: "It's football. You can't win everything. Of course we want to, but it doesn't happen.

"We need now to look forward. We have quality and spirit in the team, who hate to lose. We work everyday and we're focused to give a reaction."
