No nonsense and tough tackling defender Berardi has firmly established himself as the ultimate hard man in the present day squad since his arrival from Sampdoria in July 2014.

But speaking in the latest of Leeds United's ‘Ask’ series in association with Deliveroo, 31-year-old Berardi highlighted Kalvin Phillips, captain Liam Cooper, Gjanni Alioski and the recovering from injury Adam Forshaw as four of his toughest team mates.

"Coops is also a good fighter, and Gjanni as well.

"Gjanni maybe doesn't look a hard guy but he is. When we need to fight, he is there always.

"And Adam Forshaw as well. He is not with us at the moment but I remember that he is a good fighter as well."
