Gaetano Berardi hails Leeds United duo as best in his career

Berardi - who has played for Lugano, Brescia, Sampdoria and now Leeds - was asked as to the identity of the strongest player he has featured alongside as well as the best coach.

And while coaches Giuseppe Iachini and Sinisa Mihailovic plus players Alino Diamanti, Eder and Paladino all drew special praise, Berardi told Club Doria 66 that Bielsa and Hernandez were top of the pile.

Assessing the strongest players he has played with, Berardi said: “Currently Hernandez.

“But it’s another category (the Championship). At Brescia, I had Alino Diamanti who was very strong, but one of the best I played with is certainly Eder when I was at Sampdoria.

"After my friend Paladino, obviously.”

Turning attentions to the best coach he has worked under, Berardi said: "It is the current one, ‘El Loco’, Bielsa. But Iachini and Mihailovic are also top; I worked with them at Sampdoria."
