Fulham v Leeds United: Big match preview

Have your say

Check out our at-a-glance guide to Leeds United’s clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Ross McCormack v Giuseppe Bellusci: Bellusci and Sol Bamba kept a clean sheet at Fulham last season but more by luck than design. Fulham wasted several glaring chances and were mystified by a 3-0 loss. McCormack – United’s former striker – was as wasteful as anyone but he will not be so generous this time. Leeds need a top defensive performance from their under-strength defence.

Moussa Dembele: The 19-year-old Frenchman is extremely raw but blessed with pace and that is something Leeds do not cope well with. Kit Symons is preferring him to the likes of Matt Smith and Dembele has come up with three goals, holding down a place in Fulham’s side. Away from home and against players like him, United would be wise to play on the counter-attack.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015 – Fulham 0 Leeds United 3:

Goals: Leeds – Byram 40, Bamba 48, Antenucci 88.

Leeds’ form would be a big worry even if they had every one of their players available but the club are going to Fulham with depleted resources.

Liam Cooper’s absence is a big problem and the loss of Charlie Taylor takes away a safe pair of hands at left-back.

Fulham are not exactly brilliant but they will see serious weakness in United’s camp after the sacking of Uwe Rosler – and they must fancy their chances.
