The Whites were due to take on Cardiff City this coming Sunday but have now seen the trip to face the Bluebirds suspended along with a further two fixtures postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Why has the EFL been suspended until April?

The EFL announced on Friday morning that due to the ongoing global health crisis with the coronavirus outbreak games in the Championship, League One and Two have been suspended until April 3 at the earliest.

A statement read: "The FA, Premier League, EFL and Barclays FA Women’s Super League and FA Women’s Championship have collectively agreed to postpone the professional game in England until 3 April at the earliest.

"This action, which will be kept under constant review, has been taken due to the increasing numbers of Clubs taking steps to isolate their players and staff because of the COVID-19 virus.

"The postponements include all matches in the Championship, League One and League Two, as well as all Academy and youth team fixtures."

What games were Leeds United due to play in that time?

Marcelo Bielsa's side were due to take on Cardiff City this Sunday (March 15) before hosting promotion rivals Fulham at Elland Road next Wednesday on March 18.

Leeds were also set to welcome Luton Town to LS11 on March 21 ahead of what was then due to be the international break.

What is the club's ticket policy for games that have been postponed?

United released a statement immediately following the news of a suspension confirming that any tickets purchased for the games affected will remain valid.

A spokesperson said: "We would like to make it clear that tickets purchased for games that have been postponed will be valid for the rearranged fixtures."

When is the season due to continue?

As it stands, United have seen just the three games affected and are due to continue their quest for Premier League football against Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Friday, April 3 in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

The EFL, though, say they will continue to monitor the situation and update their members following another board meeting next week.

What will happen with the rearranged fixtures?

No announcement has been made as yet over when any rearranged fixtures will be played.

Reports suggest that UEFA will postpone Euro 2020, which could allow domestic leagues across Europe to conclude should sport continue in the summer.
