FA reveal Leeds United's 2019/20 agents fees and where they rank in Championship

FIFA regulations since 2015 have meant the details of fees and transactions must be published on an annual basis.

During the 12-month period between February 1, 2019 and January 31, 2020, Leeds United shelled out £4.03m to intermediaries.

Their spend was the fourth highest in the Championship, behind Fulham, Swansea and Stoke City. The Whites also spent more than Premier League Burnley.

Top flight giants Liverpool paid £30m to agents, while Manchester City spent £29m.

Luton Town paid out a little under £300k, the lowest spent in the Championship.

The Leeds player transactions during the period included the departures of Bailey Peacock-Farrell, Jack Clarke and Pontus Jansson and the loan signings of Helder Costa, Ben White and Jack Harrison, alongside new contracts for the likes of Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas, Kalvin Phillips, Mateusz Klich and Pablo Hernandez.

The FA say that payments included in the £4.03m may have been made during transactions that were entered into prior to February 1, 2019, so the total sum of the fees paid may not necessarily relate directly to transactions listed involving a registered intermediary between February 1, 2019 and January 31, 2020.
