EFL reveal latest coronavirus test results as Leeds United eye final days of Premier League exile

JUST one individual from one Championship club has tested positive for coronavirus as part of the EFL's latest round of testing.

A statement from the EFL read: "The EFL can confirm that 2855 players and Club staff from the 24 Championship clubs were tested over the course of the past week with one individual testing positive from one club.

"Those players or club staff who have tested positive will now self-isolate in line with the guidelines provided by the EFL and only those who have tested negative will be permitted to take part in any first team activities."

Championship front-runners Leeds United have three games left and know that four points will guarantee automatic promotion to the Premier League.

After Thursday evening's 5pm kick-off against Barnsley at Elland Road, Leeds travel to Derby County on Sunday for a 2pm kick-off before next Wednesday evening's season finale at home to Charlton Athletic (kick-off 7.30pm).

One individual also tested from one club in League One as part of 286 players and club were tested from five League One clubs over the course of the past week.
