Derby County is anything but a happy hunting ground for Leeds United, with their last win at Pride Park coming nearly 12 years ago.

That 1-0 victory came as Leeds chased a place in the Champions League and Derby dropped out of the Premier League, and in the time since, results and performances at the stadium have mirrored Leeds’ fall from grace.

The score may change annually, but the outcome tends to be the same.

Last season’s 3-1 loss against Steve McClaren’s side saw Derby vastly outplay the Whites as they turned around an early season slump.

A year prior, the Rams halted the decent run for Neil Warnock’s Leeds that followed the confirmation of GFH Capital as new owners of the club, with 3-1 the

scoreline once more.

Simon Grayson could not get a result against Derby away from home either, with a 1-0 loss in 2011/12 and a 2-1 loss in 2010/11, with the latter contributing to Leeds

missing out on the play-offs at the end of the campaign.

While the Elland Road club did not meet Derby in the league between 2010 and 2007, they did lose 2-1 in the League Cup against them in 2008/09.

Both teams were in the Championship together between 2004 and 2007, and during that time Leeds lost all three games away.

Shortly after their relegation, Leeds slumped to a 2-0 loss in 2005.

Uniquely, Leeds managed a 0-0 draw against Derby in 2006, with Kevin Blackwell’s side gaining the solitary point of the last decade heading into their tilt at the

Championship play-offs.

2007 was a return to form, however, with Leeds losing 2-0 on their way to relegation to League One, having already entered administration by the time the game came around.

Leeds did beat Derby 2-0 at Elland Road only a month ago, but their form since suggests a turnaround in the recent record at Derby is unlikely.
