CO-VID 19 is causing misery all around the globe but as of Sunday none of United's players or staff had shown symptoms of the virus which has had several other squads such as the likes of Arsenal and Everton in isolation.

Leeds, though, were constantly assessing the situation and prepared to switch tack if a case presented itself at Thorp Arch.

It goes without saying that checks will be made on a daily basis and a check on United's players and staff is sure to be one of Bielsa's first ports of call.

Jean-Kevin Augustin's progress, Kalvin Phillips and Adam Forshaw

January recruit Jean-Kevin Augustin has failed to make the last three match-day squads with the Frenchman's bid to reach Bielsa's desired levels of fitness hitting a stumbling block due to a hamstring injury.

But one way or the other, the enforced break due to the Coronavirus outbreak is providing Augustin with time to recover though quite when Leeds will return to action is impossible to tell.

As things stand, all professional football in England is off until at least Friday, April 3 - the date when United are set to visit Blackburn Rovers.

With the UK not expected to reach the peak of its Coronavirus outbreak until between ten to 14 weeks' time, there are naturally big doubts about the EFL or Premier League resuming then.

But whenever United return to action, the less players out the better with Augustin and Adam Forshaw seemingly the only injuries at present assuming Kalvin Phillips has recovered from his knee problem which was not thought to be serious.

Forshaw's season was thought to be over following surgery to correct a hip problem last month with Bielsa saying the overall process to return to fitness would take six months.

That takes matters to August yet there is even talk of the season still being played in September and really nobody knows.

As such, it's not impossible to suggest that Forshaw could yet be involved.

Management meeting and training plans

Big meetings are taking place this week with UEFA set to discuss European football's response to COVID-19 on Tuesday before the EFL and Premier League also hold meetings on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.

There are any number of possible steps that could be taken from cancelling Euro 2020 or moving the competition to the end of the year or even into 2021 to allow time for a significant delay to Europe's league campaigns over the coming months with a view to concluding them in the Autumn.

Those league campaigns could, of course, be curtailed completely which would then open another massive can of worms as to whether current league placings should stand or whether the whole thing is declared null and void.

Unprecedented times could well mean unprecedented measures but Leeds are also holding their own senior management meeting on Monday to make decisions on how the rest of the business operates amidst the current blanket ban on matches.

Fans will hear from chief executive Angus Kinnear following the meeting's conclusion and it will be interesting to see what plans are put in place.

As things stand, United were back to training on Monday and Tuesday with the Whites then having Wednesday off and back training again on Thursday with Friday off.
