Nolan flattered by Championship interest

Shrewsbury Town midfielder Jon Nolan has been 'flattered' by reports linking him with a move to the Championship, report the Shropshire Star.

Leeds United reportedly face competition from Sunderland and Norwich City for the 25-year-old who has notched nine goals and six assists in League One this campaign.

"It is flattering - it’s good to get that recognition," Nolan said. "But it’s all rumours. You can’t do nothing about them or control them.

"We all, as players, even Doigy (Chris Doig, the Shrewsbury assistant manager) and the gaffer (Paul Hurst), want to go to the highest level possible. Hopefully that can be with Shrewsbury this season."
