Check out our at a glance guide to Leeds United’s clash with Bristol City.
Key Battle - Aden Flint v Chris Wood
Wood came into his own against Ipswich Town on Saturday, battering Mick McCarthy’s defence to the point where even McCarthy could only praise him. Bristol City are not as tight at the back as Ipswich so another big performance from the striker could pay dividends. He will be up against a good centre-back in Flint - the player who snatched an injury-time draw in this fixture last season.
Key Man - Tammy Abraham
The talk of the Championship at the moment and no wonder. The on-loan Chelsea striker has been a sensation at Ashton Gate, scoring 10 times in 12 appearances and single-handedly bringing City’s season to life. Only four teams have managed to keep him out so far and Leeds cannot afford to give the 18-year-old a sniff.
Last time at Ashton Gate:
Wednesday, August 19, 2015
Bristol City 2 Leeds United 2
Goals: City - Agard 89, Flint 90. Leeds - Antenucci 39 pen, Wood 52.
Phil Hay’s view: “For the first time in a few weeks, Leeds will be up against a side with serious attacking prowess. City are relying almost entirely on Abraham for goals but he is delivering at a rapid rate and United can’t expect to dominate in the way that they did against Ipswich on Saturday.
“The key for Leeds will be taking their chances - because City aren’t bad at taking theirs.”
Home win - 15/13
Draw - 13/5
Away win - 3/1
