Centre-back White joined United on a season-long loan last July and the defender has played every single minute of every league for Marcelo Bielsa's table-topping Leeds side so far.

White, 22, has even been tipped for a future England call with the defender having taken the Championship by storm upon his first season faced with football in the English game's second tier.

The regular Championship season was initially set to end over the first weekend of May but a 15-week pause in play due to the country's battle against coronavirus will now see United take in their final game at home to Charlton Athletic on Wednesday, July 22.

Speaking at a Thursday afternoon media conference via video link, Potter said all of Brighton's loan players will stay where they are until the end of the season with discussions regards future plans taking place thereafter.

“All the guys who are on loan will stay and finish their loan spells," said Potter.

“Then we will us discuss at the end of the season what the next plan is for them.

“Each individual is different, of course, and we will make those decisions at the end of the season.”
