Brentford defender Ethan Pinnock believes Leeds United are the toughest side the Bees have faced at Griffin Park this term.

Marcelo Bielsa's outfit earned a battling 1-1 draw in the capital after a Kiko Casilla slip handed the hosts the advantage.

It was the former Real Madrid stopper's second major error in four days for the Whites but skipper Liam Cooper restored parity as David Raya returned the favour in the opposition goal failing to claim a Jack Harrison corner.

United would go on to dominate much of the evening but couldn't make their promotion rivals pay and had to settle for a point in West London.

The hosts, though, knew they had been in a game at the full-time whistle with Bees defender Pinnock praising Leeds.

"I would say so," the 26-year-old said over the Whites being the toughest opponents he and his team-mates have played.

"They do tend to have a lot of the ball. It's something that we like to do. The way they played, they made it really difficult for us.

"Over the whole pitch they're pretty much man for man so there's not much time on the ball and I think that was a big challenge for us.

"There was a lot of battles and a lot of second balls.

"We had patches in the game where we weren't quite on the pace but in the last 20 minutes we got stuck in more and made sure that they were aware of us.

"We kept our positions well. We didn't get dragged out, we made sure we defended when we had to and we cleared the ball.

"Obviously at home you want to put on a good performance, we are disappointed that we couldn't give a bit more in the other end but it's another point in the right direction."

Asked if he believed a draw was a fair result, he said: "I think so. You know what kind of team they are. They like to be on the ball and press us really high.

"We defended well. On the ball we've had better games but we knew it was going to be tough out there today. Overall we defended well."
