Latest Premier League transfer rumours

Aston Villa are rumoured to have opened talks with Norwich City over a move for their star man and former Leeds United target Emi Buendia, who could cost upwards of £40m. They're looking to beat Arsenal to the Argentine ace, who scored 15 Championship goals this season. (Various)

Chelsea could be willing to sell 20-year-old English midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi, with Borussia Dortmund a potential destination. Dortmund may also consider Leeds United's Brazilian forward Raphinha, 24. (Eurosport)

Gareth Southgate on Kalvin Phillips' shoulder injury

Gareth Southgate says Kalvin Phillips' shoulder injury played a role in a changing of plans for England.

"Kalvin Phillips was injured [in the] 93rd minute on Sunday, we'll know more about that and it's severity and possible timelines in the next few days," Southgate told the media.

"He [and injured Manchester United defender Harry Maguire] are part of the reason why we've done this [naming a provisional 33-man England squad]."

England boss on Patrick Bamford's Euros absence

England boss Gareth Southgate has again praised Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford but says he saw no reason to change his forward options for the European Championships.

"I think we've probably looked at the squad in March, the basis of this squad we had in March and we were very pleased," said Southgate.

"The forwards we've selected were with us in March. There's Danny [Ings] and Patrick Bamford who have had very good seasons - I've said that before.

"But we didn't see any reason to change those positions from the players that did well for us in the games, the three qualifiers we won in March."
