Whites no 9 Bamford bagged his first ever Whites treble by completing a rapid 19-minute hat-trick to ensure United made their authority count after a dominant but goalless first half.

The victory sent United third and Graham Smyth, the YEP's chief football writer, hands out the scores.

8 - Didn't have too much to do but when called upon was brilliant. Made two big, big stops. Taking to the Premier League with ease. Picture by Martin Rickett/PA Wire.

8 - Struggled to contain Grealish in the first half but recovered to defend brilliantly in the second and contributed to attacks. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
8 - A captain's performance. Some lovely passes, some vital challenges, a goalline clearance. Had his hands full but battled. Organised too, was vocal throughout. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
7 - Gave the ball away too many times in the first half, defended well enough before the break. Was much better after it, although Leeds were doing much more of the attacking. Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images.
7 - Far better in the second half than the first. Produced one fine cross for Bamford even if his end product wasn't always there, but never stopped getting up and down the flank. Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images.
6 - Learned a harsh lesson. Booked for lunging in on Grealish, then walked a tightrope and could have had his marching orders before being substituted on 21 minutes. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
8 - The link man. Got about Villa, snapped at ankles, and his physicality was vital after Struijk went off. Good on the ball in the second half particularly. Kept Leeds moving into space. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
7 - Brief moments of danger in the first half, showed more in the second. Another who didn't stop. Just couldn't quite create magic to finish clever runs off. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
7 - His crossing wasn't always of the quality he can produce but by hugging the touchline and getting at Villa he created danger and kept Leeds on the front foot. Did fashion one great cross for Bamford. Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images.
8 - A frustrating first half, in which things didn't always come off, but he was so clever in the second half. Played some lovely passes, good movement and lots of energy. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
9 - A poacher's goal and then two of real class. Could have had five. Battled manfully against a tough central defence. You can't give 10s and 9.5s don't exist but they should for that performance. Photo by Laurence Griffiths/Getty Images.
8 - A livewire. Buzzed around the pitch, ran it when he had the chance but kept it simple and so effective. His little, quick touches and passes set Leeds away. Got stuck in, too. Photo by Nick Potts - Pool/Getty Images.
N/A Keen to get involved but had little time to impact the game. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
N/A - Only on for 11 minutes but straight into the action. Wasted a good chance that you'd have expected him to at least get on target. Photo by Michael Steele/Getty Images.
