Alan Brazil admits that he would 'love' to see Leeds boss Bielsa join British giants

TalkSPORT pundit Alan Brazil has claimed that he would love to see Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa take over at Celtic following Neil Lennon’s departure from the club – but admits that the Argentine is never going to leave Elland Road for Parkhead.

Lennon left his post in Glasgow earlier in the week, with his assistant John Kennedy expected to take charge until the end of the season.

The Hoops have endured a miserable campaign so far, with bitter rivals Rangers just seven points away from clinching the Scottish Premiership title.

So far, there has been no concrete indication as to who the Old Firm giants’ next permanent appointment in the dugout will be, but Brazil has suggested that his dream swoop would see Bielsa swap Yorkshire for Glasgow.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: “You’re restricted as to who you can buy, and if you’re looking for a new manager, you know who I would love to come in? It ain’t going to happen, but I would love Bielsa.

"For me, it's the Celtic way.

"I’d love someone like him to come up there and get them buzzing, playing free-flowing football, chasing every ball and harrying – but that's not going to happen, so I’m not daft.”

Bielsa tends to operate on a one-year rolling contract, and while he is yet to commit his future to Leeds ahead of next season, the Argentine has been making positive noises about a potential extension to his current deal over the past days.
